There's alot to being in relationship with god,,,how many of us are matured to being in relation with each other?..broken men & broken women marry & produce broken families, then the cycle repeats ,,,im not surprised at the high divorce rate for us,,,majority of us are in dysfunction plus while in that dysfunction we couple up, have children and our spouse realise one day they are not equipped to handle the dysfunction , ..its a recipe for disaster.....a simple test,,,ask any bm or bw ..ask are they the seed or soil in a relationship and how healthy are they?

Our Women are extremely promiscuous and unfaithful. There is no loyalty in relationships.

Black women, not just in the west but increasingly in Africa as well, are turning into competitors in the Institution of marriage. They literally drive men away!

I'm going to answer for myself.... I didn't stay married to my ex husband because of infidelity... He was in the military and he kept on playing on me.. This was 27yrs ago. I'm 51 now, and I thank God that I'm single today 😊💜

I am divorcing my husband because he, like A LOT of black dudes, want to cheat, be taken care of, they dont know how to be men, be accountable and take responsibility. It's digusting!!!

Men think that they are to just protect and provide when the women do more like cook clean, take care of the kids, be there for the kids emotionally, mentally, spiritually, set dr appointments, go shopping, make sure everybody is ok and even if she is sick she still gotta do all of that and give him smex. I don't wanna get married nor have anymore kids. I am worth more than just being someone's servant. Then the men can go and hang out with there boy's buy their fun toy's play ps5. Hmm African american couples must be different to Caribbean british couples. We've been happily married for over 15 years. We're still in love. The mortgage is paid off and luckily we go on regular holiday. The only thing about Slave in our marriage is my favorite funk song by the band Slave, just a touch of love.

Lack of accountability and values.

Nobody wants to grow old in a toxic relationship!! One person can't make it work it takes two. Learn as much as you can about yourself, God and men BEFORE you start dating 🙏🏾 read books 📚 listen to good married mentors that have healthy marriages not complaining about their wives or husbands. Listen to RUclips videos and learn as much as you can. Learn to enjoy your own company before you get into a relationship because nobody else can make you happy you need to like yourself, love yourself. MEN KNOW MEN BETTER THAN WOMEN KNOW MEN . make sure you listen to Godly married men mentors to help you understand how to treat men. Women know Women better than men do so a Godly married woman is also good to listen and learn from.

The stat is not showing why the rate is high. How much abuse, we’re the blame goes and infidelity. I believe women have to certain on what they agreeing to and vowing, too. Because there are plenty who don’t nag,ultra feminine and internalizing abuse but they agreed to marry the wrong man. Because he got money, prestige, he cute, sex, desperation one and or combination of theses things. Instead of can I submit to his leadership style. Do I enjoy him. Do I want to help him.

Finances is one cause due to statistics; mental health is another cause. I know a man that is-on-is 6th marriage & his failed relationships were not due to the women. A lot of undiagnosed mental health problems. Statistics show that with black couples that are financially stable the marriages success rate is significally higher. There are probably more reasons why divorce is higher. It is not due to archaic beliefs about women.

This conversation is obsolete, men are letting you go you own way. These young boys aren’t marrying anymore. Young black men especially won’t marry. Hookup culture is so prevalent it’s no need for men to do it.

The share of ever-divorced Black women was 38.9% per 1,000 married women in 2016, compared to 34.4% for Whites women. That’s not an enormous difference. However, it appears that more white women get RE-MARRIED after divorce. Currently White (Caucasian) Americans fall third with 15.1 divorces for 1,000 people. Specifically, 38% of White women and 36% of men have been divorced at least once. That means the current rate of white divorces are lower but the percentage of white women who have ever been divorced is catching up to black women. Note: 69% of women initiate divorce. My interpretation of this data is different. The older white women you gravitated towards for wisdom were likely on their 2nd or 3rd marriage. Top 3 reasons women gave for filing for divorce Unmet needs Deficient Life-Work Balance Husband’s Unfaithfulness That sounds like neglect, weaponized incompetence, and cheating. There were numerous things listed that impacted divorce rates regardless of race. The one I’ll mention is income. The states with the highest median income had the lowest divorce rates and vice versa. Plus, lower incomes negatively impact the decision to get married. Black people have the lowest incomes as a collective due to pay inequality. So, lower incomes lead to higher rates of divorce and decisions not to marry at all, or not a 2nd time. Yet, your focus is on black women’s mentality. It appears to me that many black women do not have a good experience in marriage. They feel neglected, manipulated into the majority of the labor, cheated on, and stressed about finances. They get divorced and don’t remarry. WW get remarried.

If you look into more research the statistics show that interracial marriages between black women and white men shows the lowest divorce rates. Maybe it’s how black men treat black women

It is not 30% is above 30% it is like 85 of 90% already and the reason why they are getting divorces because black women are never raised to honour of value a man they are raised with an independent woman kind of a mentality they were never raised to put an effort to keep a marriage the Sylvia 100% the price so they don't need to do anything that every man wants them so because they think everyone wants them they think any man that leaves them is at lost

Like my wife I’m Caribbean British we’ve been married for over 15 years. Both our sets of parents were also married for a long time until death. We’re old school. Maybe people with Caribbean roots take their family more seriously. African American especially hood people are 100% different from Caribbean people.
